Access - Culpepper Ranch Crossing - connecting Culpeper Ranch Road to Express Fuels plaza at Beaver Creek Rd. & I-17 over Dry Beaver Creek

The Culpepper crossing is very popular with local residents as it is the shortest and most convenient access route into the area. Prior to the establishment of the roadway leading from Brockett Ranch - Dragonhead and Forest Service Cross 2 Ranch roads - traversing this crossing was the only means into the area.
Roadways leading to and from the crossing had been washed out on numerous occasions making access only available with a four wheel drive vehicle.
Past flooding have made the crossing impossible to pass for several hours to several months on occasion.
The Culpepper crossing always has some water flowing over the concrete pad. Gages can be under water as much as 10 feet or more during Winter rains or Spring run-off.
The edge of the crossing are difficult to recognize when submerged, and present dangerous driving conditions when day and night.
