Access - Reay Crossing - connecting Reay Roads south of the confluence of Dry Beaver Creek and Wet Beaver Creek

The Reay Rd. Crossing is located over a 6.8 acre parcel of land most of which is a river rock creek bed, often submerged by Beaver Creek. The crossing lies just south of the confluence of Dry Beaver and Wet Beaver Creek. The crossing was built shortly after the flood waters of 1992 destroyed a larger culvert crossing by the then area property owners with FEMA flood damage funds. It consist of 11 4 ft. Culverts often jammed by flood and creek debris. The crossing is in extremely poor condition with its concrete roadway rapidly eroding away with each and every seasonal flood event.

Many residents believe that the property should be owned by BCV-POA and a new, larger and wider culvert crossing built at this location. The crossing also is the shortest span over Wet Beaver Creek that best accommodates an emergency pedestrian footbridge necessary during flood events.
Winter rains - Spring run-off and Summer monsoons make this crossing vulnerable and inundated with water during most non drought years. Levels can remain high for hours to weeks at a time during these events. Limited and restricted access have caused property values to decline & threaten loss of jobs & homes.
The Reay Rd. crossing currently has no recorded easement, however has served openly and notoriously as the area’s ingress and egress for over 50 years.
